As a cautious ‘Bull’, I would remind you— the four most dangerous words to an economist are, “This Time it’s Different.” I really enjoy your newsletter and look forward to each issue.

Carol and I arrived home Sunday afternoon from our trip to Iowa. We enjoyed the hospitality you and your staff showed us Wednesday afternoon. Your cattle were everything you write about in your newsletters! The bulls that Ross showed were nothing short of excellent and I hope someday to acquire one for my small herd of Angus. Thanks again for your time.

Bull Report on Beefbuilder S6, Beefbuilder S14 and Special Duty R540:
I used S6 on straight Angus cows in May-June and got 25 cross calves. ALL look better than my Angus sired calves. Good growth, more muscle, excellent calves. Put him back on 30 second calf heifers November-December. Only one heifer open! He held his condition and lost very little weight in the spring and fall breeding season.
S14 Beefbuilder was delivered to me last fall and serviced 69 cows - only two opens, in a 75 day breeding season. Back breeding 70 cows in May-June-July (75 days) - not preg tested, but have not observed any opens. S14 is very tolerant of heat/fescue in southwest Missouri. Holds condition extremely well. S14 blood lines need to be propagated. SUPER BULL.
Special Duty R540, tops of the BEST Angus bulls. Puts excellent calves on the ground. Also holds his condition on fescue as good or better than any other Angus sire I own.

We will be in Iowa in late summer. I have wanted to visit your operation ever since listening to Dave speak at Virginia Tech several years ago. I receive your newsletter and am an Angus breeder always looking for good genetics. I’m looking forward to seeing Iowa and your cattle.
