Alabama Beef Producers "Roll" Into Nichols Farms
Around 60 members of the Alabama Farm Bureau Federation toured Nichols Farms in late October.
Dave Nichols and Ross Havens gave them a guided tour of the bull barn, herd sires, and the feed and commodity storage center.
Koby Paulson, the nine-year-old grandson of long time Nichols’ employee, Bill Antisdel, shot this ten point buck that scored 126 points, on his first deer hunting expedition.
The deer was bagged on an Adair County farm during the first “youth deer season.” Koby was accompanied by his uncle, Ryan Antisdel.
It was a near perfect shot through the deer’s shoulder with a Savage single shot 50 caliber black powder rifle.
Canadian Agricultural Students Tour Nichols Farms
The University of Guelph’s agricultural students have stopped at Nichols Farms on their mid-west tour of agricultural industries for
nearly 30 years.
This year they presented Dave Nichols a plaque— “In Recognition of His Ongoing Support for Students at The Ontario Agricultural College.”
