Llamas, llamas, alpacas, alpacas. We love and live llamas and alpacas. If you already have llamas or alpacas you know what we are talking about. Who are we? We are Lori and Duane Jeter, owners and operators of our small 3rd generation family farm we've named Cedars Edge Farm (due to the grove of cedar trees bordering one side of our property). We have been involved in raising llamas and alpacas for 13 years and have enjoyed and participated in nearly all aspects of the business. Shows, sales, organizations, events, newborns, and just doing the chores are all part of the enjoyment. Duane and I were born and raised in Iowa. We have lived on our farm for most of our lives. We have raised horses, sheep, and cats for many years until we were introduced to llamas in 1986. From that moment we knew we had to have llamas. We did it. We bought 2 bred females. What an experience. There were only a handful of llamas in the country. We fell more in love with the animals. Since then we have bought, sold, birthed, shown, packed, and particapted in nearly every event you can imagine possible with llamas. They have become a huge part of our lives. Several years ago we had the opportunity to become involved with alpacas (cousin to a llama). We fell in love with the alpacas as well. What a neat bunch of animals. Since that time, llamas and alpacas have become a full time job. Duane and I not only offer breeding llamas and alpacas of stature and quality but also offer a select number of products and services designed to accommodate fellow llama and alpaca breeders. Some of those have been born out of need or because of a lack of satisifactory substitutes. It seems more and more in this world the attitude is to take the money and run. But no matter what the connection you choose to make with us, everything we offer, whether it be a product, service or a beautiful llama or alpaca, our commitment is to your complete and lasting satisifaction.

When you visit us at our farm, you will be welcomed by a variety of curious, healthy, well-mannered llamas and alpacas that include the classic animal to the top-of-the-line animal. Our variety in animals are also reflected in our prices. Prices range from just a few hundred dollars for an entry level pet to around $10,000 for a top-of-the-line show stopper llama and $20,000 for a superb alpaca. You can halter any animal, spend as much time with him or her as you'd like, and get straight answers to all of your questions. We can arrive at a mutually fair price without the pressure of an auction. We also offer a package of benefits to every new owner along with a complete health and reproductive guarantee. Every llama and alpaca is also trained, well-mannered, and trailer-wise.
